I have nothing but amazing things to say about this martial arts school. We signed up under a great online deal for the 6 weeks of class to see how our son would do before going full steam ahead. He is a very high energy 5 year old who has a very healthy but not always good attitude and surprising can be very shy at times. He also would get very frustrated and angry if he didn’t get things right the first time. That is until we brought him to level 10. I will admit when we first asked if he wanted to go to karate he said no and would get angry and yell at us, I don’t know why but he was very vocal about his dislike of the idea, he wanted to go back to soccer but Soccer wasn’t available at the time. We took him to a class to watch after he agreed he would do that at least, it was a fun low key class day because of hurricane Irma Master Theros and Mrs. Theros just wanted to give the kids a good time after the storm. My son would watch most of the class then suddenly at the end he finally wanted to join the fun not realizing he missed most of it. I asked if he wanted to come to a class for the full time and he said yes. Mrs. Theros gave him his uniform that day and we came back for his first lesson a couple days later. He jumped right into it, a little shy at first but looking at him now you would never know he was once that shy kid in class. Flash forward to almost 3 months later, this week he tests for his yellow belt. He has improved significantly in every single way not only in his lessons (which I am beyond impressed how well he has picked up on) but the way he is at home and in School. His kindergarten teacher noticed a change in him over time and asked me what we did at home and I proudly was able to say martial arts. His yes ma’am’s and yes sir’s are on point, he is not afraid to fail and try again and he listens so much better then he did before. He is still a 5 year old so he is still learning his boundaries but level 10 concentrates heavily on respect and focus which has truly become a way of life for our son. If he misbehaves I always ask him if master or Mrs. Theros would be ok with the way he is talking to us or how he treated a friend in school and he quickly shapes up. Another great thing is since my son is in the little ninjas program they concentrate on safety as well as self defense not only against kids their age but also in case an adult tries to hurt them or take them. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to join martial arts for themselves or for their children. They will absolutely love it and you will have such a tremendous joy watching your children grow and have a level of proud you never expected you could have. Thank you level 10 we are so happy to be a part of the family!
